1. Portfolist Service
Portfolist provides tools for creating, publishing, and maintaining live online portfolios, CVs, professional profiles, and related messaging workflows at portfolist.com. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using Portfolist and apply to all users of the service.
2. User Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account.
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it reasonably up to date.
- You may not impersonate another person, organization, Portfolist staff member, or official account.
- Portfolist may require onboarding details such as account type and username before dashboard features are available.
3. Portfolio Content and Ownership
- You retain ownership of the portfolio content, profile text, images, documents, links, and other materials you submit to Portfolist.
- You grant Portfolist a limited license to host, process, display, resize, store, and transmit your content as needed to operate the service.
- You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions needed for any content you upload or publish.
- Portfolist does not claim ownership over your professional work, portfolio entries, messages, or uploaded images.
4. Acceptable Use
- Use Portfolist for lawful professional, recruiting, networking, portfolio, business, and career-related purposes.
- Do not use Portfolist to harass, threaten, deceive, spam, or abuse other people.
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, security controls, rate limits, authentication, billing, or moderation systems.
- Do not upload malware, phishing content, credential-harvesting pages, or content that interferes with the service.
5. Prohibited Content
- You may not publish hateful, violent, sexually exploitative, defamatory, fraudulent, or unlawful content.
- You may not use offensive slurs, sexual insults, impersonation, or misleading public identifiers in usernames, portfolio links, display names, or public text.
- You may not publish private contact information, confidential information, or personal data about another person without permission.
- Portfolist may remove content, hide portfolios, restrict messaging, or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Public Profile and Portfolio Pages
- Public portfolios may be accessible on the internet and may be indexed by search engines if indexing is enabled.
- Unlisted portfolios are accessible by link but are intended not to appear in Portfolist sitemap output.
- Private portfolios may require a password or owner access and should not be used as a substitute for secure document storage.
- You are responsible for reviewing what information appears publicly before sharing a portfolio link.
7. Messaging System
- Portfolist messaging allows visitors and users to contact portfolio owners without exposing private contact details by default.
- You may not use messages for spam, harassment, scams, illegal offers, or abusive content.
- Portfolio owners may close or mark threads as spam. Portfolist may apply rate limits and moderation to protect users.
- Business accounts may include company information in messages to make outreach clearer and more professional.
8. Free and Premium Plans
- Free plans include limited portfolio creation, basic templates, basic analytics, and Portfolist branding.
- Premium plans may include additional portfolios, premium templates, advanced analytics, duplicate portfolios, branding controls, and other paid features.
- Plan features may change over time, but Portfolist will aim to keep plan descriptions clear before purchase.
- Premium subscriptions are billed through Paddle.
- Payments, billing, taxes, invoices, and subscription management may be processed by Paddle.
- Paddle may act as merchant of record or payment processor, depending on the checkout setup.
- Billing details are handled through Paddle checkout or Paddle customer portal where available.
- Premium access depends on successful payment and active subscription status.
- Portfolist may change pricing or plan features with reasonable notice.
- You must not abuse trials, payments, chargebacks, subscriptions, billing flows, or payment disputes.
9. Termination and Suspension
- You may stop using Portfolist at any time and may request account deletion by contacting support.
- Portfolist may suspend, restrict, hide, or terminate accounts, portfolios, or messaging access for violations of these terms, security risks, non-payment, abuse, or legal reasons.
- If an account is suspended or terminated, public pages and dashboard access may no longer be available.
10. Limitation of Liability
Portfolist is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Portfolist is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, lost profits, lost data, or reputational harm arising from use of the service.
